Mrs. Porter has lived in Jonesboro since 1984. She is married to Dr. Revel Porter and has four children. Her youngest daughter, who has played in the Symphony for several years, is now a freshman in college. Mrs. Porter is very active in the community. She is Executive Director Northeast Arkansas Tennis Association, a member of the Arkansas Tennis Association Board of Directors and is also an active tennis player. She holds or has held positions on the Northeast Arkansas Visual Arts League, Women’s Advisory Committee for St. Bernards Development Foundation and the Westmart Homemakers Extension Club. She has been a very active volunteer in the Jonesboro Public School System and at Walnut Street Baptist Church, where she is a member. Mrs. Porter holds a M.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Mathematics, both from the University of Memphis. |

Ronal attended Arkansas State University for 2 years prior to transferring to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Ronal graduated with a BM in Music Performance-Low Brass in 1972. Prior to graduation in 1972, Ronal won an audition on tuba with the United States Marine Band in Washington, D.C. and performed with band for 22 Years. In 1981 Ronal earned a Master Degree in Trombone Performance from Catholic University in Washington, DC

Dr. Don Vollman
Dr. Vollman is a medical doctor with Doctors' Anatomic Pathology Services in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He is a strong supporter of the arts and has attended and supported the Delta Symphony Orchestra since its inception in 1975. Don & his wife Mary live in Jonesboro. |
Dr. Bill Keisker
Dr. Keisker is a retired General Surgeon. He began taking violin lessons at age seven and played in the Memphis Symphony while in High School and College. He began playing the Bass in High School and played Bass in dance bands around Memphis to pay tuition for College and Medical School.

Dr. Vern Ann Shotts - President
Dr. Shotts is a pediatric pioneer in a community frontier, being the first pediatrician and the first female physician in Greene County. She was chief of pediatrics for 20 years at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, where she owns and practices at the Child and Adolescent Medical Clinic. A lifelong music lover, Dr. Shotts attended the University of Arkansas with a piano scholarship, was a member of the Razorback Marching Band and also a majorette. Married to Dr. Mack Shotts, the couple have two wonderful children, who are violinists. Community involvement and volunteerism include such things as being a past board member of Security Bank, past-president of the Collins Theater Foundation, a trustee of the First United Methodist Church, and a Greene County Spelling Bee Judge for 10 years. She has been on the Delta Symphony Orchestra Board since its inception, serving as both board and guild presidents.

Robin Yates
Robin Martin Yates is a lifelong member of Jonesboro. She has been a choral director for over thirty years, having taught at Caraway Public Schools, Valley View Public Schools and Jonesboro Public Schools. For eighteen years she was Director of Music Ministries at First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, where she directed Sanctuary Choir, Youth Choir,Young Musicians Childrens Choir, Handbells, and Girls Ensemble. Robin\'s Choirs have received superior ratings in all festivals from 1969-2001. She has been a soloist with the Northeast Arkansas Symphony( Now Delta Symphony), First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir, and various community events throughout the state. She has served as a Choral and Vocal Music adjudicator in Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi,Louisiana, and Arkansas.
